Workshop students will obtain advanced insight into the theoretical, technical and creative principles of synthesizers, synthesis and the MIDI Protocol.

During this course students will be introduced to synthesizer and MIDI history, terminology, technology and the creative practical application of keyboards, hardware and software.
  • This is a certificate course which means that students who successfully complete the course will receive a Certificate of Completion from Metalworks Institute. However, this course cannot be applied as a credit towards Metalworks Institute's Online Diploma Programs.

Syllabus

In this learning module, students will be introduced to synthesizers and musical instrument modelling. Students will then apply these skills to an in-class exercise.

MIDI & Synthesis AUD2030T is the prerequisite/corequisite for this course. In order to take this course, you must have either already successfully completed MIDI & Synthesis AUD2030T or you must enroll in it at the same time.
