Focus will be on the development of advanced practical skills using hardware and software-based digital technologies, as well as the principles and techniques of advanced recording and editing of music on a DAW through a comprehensive study of Pro Tools.

Virtual Classroom Schedule

This course is delivered in a Virtual Classroom format. During classes, you will be able to interact with your instructor and peers in real-time through online tools and course software. The course has an assigned class schedule, evaluation dates, and assignment due dates. All classes are recorded and posted to your course page to review any content you may have missed. About Course Credit

If you choose to take this course for credit, you will be required to attend the instructor-led virtual classes for the course and record your attendance through our Learning Management System (LMS). To receive credit for the course, you must complete all course evaluations and obtain a minimum final grade of 60%. If you enroll in a course for credit, our Registrar's office will schedule a meeting with you to review the For Credit requirements in advance of the course start date. If you choose the Not for Credit option when you enroll, you will still be registered in the same course and have access to all of the same lectures and materials as the For Credit students, but you will not be able to apply the course as a credit towards one of Metalworks Institute's Online Diploma Programs.

Please Note: Credits can only be applied to online diploma programs within 24 months of course completion.

Syllabus

In this learning module, students will be provided with a broad introduction to AVID Pro Tools including an overview of software functions, available hardware, a brief history and an explanation as to why is remains the industry standard.

Ross Hayes Citrullo is a Producer, Mixer, Engineer and Emmy® nominated Re-Recording Mixer based out of Toronto, Canada. He has worked with artists including The Sheepdogs, AWOLNATION, Moneen, Monster Truck, Juno-nominated artists Samantha Martin and the Delta Sugar, and many others. With a strong background in engineering and Pro Tools, Citrullo is efficient at running sessions, allowing artists the time and space to get creative, while managing studio time and budgets.
