This course will provide students with a complete introduction into the principles of sound through a study of acoustics. During this course students will be introduced to physics principles, wave propagation and auditory perception.

This is a certificate course which means that students who successfully complete the course will receive a Certificate of Completion from Metalworks Institute. However, this course cannot be applied as a credit towards Metalworks Institute's Online Diploma Programs.

In this learning module, students will be provided with a broad introduction to the physics of sound including the dual nature of sound, transmission of sound, waveforms, frequency and pitch, amplitude, wavelength, harmonic content, and overtones.
